Australia Young Scholars Workshop - Australia Indonesia Governance Research Partnership
The Young Scholars Workshop is designed to encourage a new generation of prospective researchers from Indonesia and Australia (especially Honours and Master students, but also PhD students). Funding is available on a competitive basis to bring young scholars together with established researchers and to present a summary of their research.

The workshop will be held annually at the same time as the Policy Research Forum of the AIGRP. Participants in the Young Scholars Workshop will also have an opportunity to observe the Policy Research Forum. Economy travel and accommodation for 3 nights will be available to scholars who apply.

Kent first UK University to launch scholarship scheme for Romanian students
UK: Ratiu Foundation Scholarship at Kent University for Romanian Students

In a move which marks the entry of Romania to the EU in January 2007, the University of Kent has become the first UK university to be part of a financial support scheme for talented postgraduate students from the Eastern European country.

In partnership with the Ratiu Foundation UK, the University of Kent has developed a package which includes tuition fees at the home/EU rate and a £3,000 Ratiu Foundation Scholarship for two student places:

MSc in Information Security and Biometrics
MSc in Biomedical Imaging
The Ratiu Foundation was established in London in 1979 by Ion and Elisabeth Ratiu. Through its scholarships, the Foundation enables talented Romanian graduates and young professionals to gain skills in the UK which they can adapt and apply back home in Romania.

Kent Business School MPhil Studentship at University of Kent
A studentship exists for an MPhil student, EU national, within the University of Kent, Kent Business School - Wye Campus, Applied Economics and Business Management Group.

The successful applicant will work on a collaborative European research project ‘Structural Change in Agriculture and Rural Livelihoods’, contract No SSPE-CT-2006-044201.
