PhD Studentships in Psychology, University of Birmingham in UK

The School of Psychology is offering up to 10 University and Research Council funded research studentships for students wishing to start a research degree in October. The studentships pay the tuition fee and a maintenance allowance currently £12,300 per annum. Home and international students are eligible to be considered for these studentships. Tuition fees for overseas applicants will be paid at the home tuition fee rate.

Research within the School is divided into three main groupings:

Applied Social and Health Psychology: highlights forensic psychology, new Centre for neuro-developmental disorders, social cognition Behavioural Neuroscience: highlights functional brain imaging, neuroscience of ageing, EEG/ERPs of perception, action, epilepsy, neuropsychology, pain Peception, Cognition and Language: highlights mechanisms of depth perception, eye movements in reading and object naming, cognitive development, dyslexia Applications and further details can be obtained from: Mrs Parveen Chahal, Course Administrator, telephone: 0121 414 4906 or email: p.k.chahal@bham.ac.uk

Applications are accepted at any time until end of July, but it is recommended that students submit applications sooner so that they are considered for the full quota of studentships that are available.
